Girls Inc. provides high-quality afterschool care and programming in the only all-girl, pro-girl environment in the region where girls can truly be themselves. Girls Inc. now offers Afterschool or Extended Programs, both at an extremely low weekly rate that is affordable for all families.
ALL NEW COMING THIS FALL!!
Beginning this fall during our extended programming time (following dinner each day), Girls Inc. will be offering all new “clubs” focused on areas such as sports, arts, music, STEM, and more. Additional details will be sent to girls as they enroll and as the fall program begins.
WHAT AND WHEN
Our afterschool program begins right after school lets out – including early out days for Sioux City and South Sioux City – and continues until 7pm:
- Girls are picked up from school by a school district bus, the Girls Inc. bus, or a Girls Inc. van and transported to Girls Inc.
- A healthy snack is served as soon as girls arrive at Girls Inc.
- Immediately following snack, girls begin Girls Inc. programming, which can be instruction, tutoring, homework help, activies, and Girls Inc. programs you count on most.
- 5:00pm pick-up can begin for girls not staying for dinner, extended programming and ALL NEW clubs.
- 5:20pm delicious and healthy dinner is served
- 5:45pm extended programming and all new clubs begin.
- 6:45pm reading and quiet time while during pick up.
- 7:00pm Girls Inc, closes and all girls must be picked up.
NEW, LOWER FEES IN CELEBRATION OF 40 YEARS
You have two options for fee payments:
- Monthly – the lowest cost option (less than $1.75 per day). In honor of our 40th year in Sioux City, parents will have the option of paying $40 per month – billed for three months in the fall and 4 months in the spring.
- Weekly – you can choose to be billed $15 each week.
Fees are NOT based on attendance – each girl is billed as long as they are enrolled.
TRANSPORTATION
Free transportation from a limited number of schools is available. The schools expected to have transportation are listed below, but are dependent on enrollment from each school and are subject to change. If you are uncertain if transportation is available from your school, please contact Girls Inc. at 252-1088 prior to enrolling. Girls from any school may and are encouraged to enroll if transportation is not needed.
