ABOUT THE AFFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM
What
It’s not childcare or just a safe space to hang out after school until mom or dad gets off work. It’s a high quality, active, educational, and intentional afterschool program designed and exclusively for girls in grades K through 5. It’s confidence-building, mentorship, support and a girls-only environment that allows girls to be their true selves.

SPRING: January 4 – May 14
Monday thru Friday
Program Hours: afterschool – 6:30 PM
Parent pick up starts at 5pm.
Where
Girls Inc.’s state-of-the-art facility at 500 Main Street in Sioux City. With six classrooms, STEM lab, library, full-size gym, arts and crafts center, cafeteria, podcast room, and more, it offers everything your child deserves in an afterschool program.

Transportation
Transportation is available from a limited number of schools by the Sioux City Community School District and Girls Inc. Seats are limited and transportation may be subject to change based on the number of girls enrolled from a school and bussing available from the District.

Each class is led by trained and caring staff members. In addition, homework help is provided in the tutoring center, a reading specialist assists those needing a little extra help, STEM, and more.
Fees
Weekly fees are all inclusive: programming, snack, dinner, and transportation from school.
Weekly Fee: $25 per week, per child. A $10 discount is provided for multiple girls from the same household ($20 per week, per girl). Fees are due each week, billed one week in advance. Additional scholarship may be available based on need.
Girls consistently picked up early (before 5pm) will be charged a transportation fee of $15 per week.
Attendance Requirements
Because transportation space is limited, a girl attending less than 60% of the time may be dismissed from the program to make room for a child who needs the program every day.
Registration Deadlines
Registrations will be accepted throughout the year as long as space is available on transportation and/or in her particular grade. Please contact Girls Inc. at 712-252-1088 to ask about openings or about the waiting list.
